Veteran Benefits Assistance in North & Northeast Philadelphia

In the area of community and supportive services, LP³ partnered with the Veterans Impact Center to offer job training, career counseling, and placement services. We helped veterans navigate the requirements and application processes for VA benefits, collaborated with agencies to provide medical treatment, mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, and on-site case management, and offered peer counseling, recreational activities, and on-site entertainment to combat isolation and promote socialization. Transportation was provided via Uber, Lyft, or the company’s minivan to ensure access to healthcare, housing, and other essential services.

To sustain and expand the project, we plan to diversify funding sources by actively seeking grants from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors. Additionally, we will engage with individual donors to build a broader base of support. LP³ will continue developing partnerships with organizations, agencies, and individuals who can offer additional resources, expertise, and support. This approach helps us leverage current resources and avoid duplication of efforts. LP³ will also continue its annual fundraiser to raise awareness of our mission and impact. This event will serve as an opportunity to engage with the community and attract potential supporters. Furthermore, we are revising our strategic plan to set clear goals, objectives, and strategies for growth and sustainability. This plan will guide our efforts to expand services and ensure long-term impact.

The LP³ program significantly improved veterans' basic needs. The grant enabled us to provide safe and secure shelter for homeless veterans, ensuring they had a stable place to live. Regular healthy meals and meal deliveries that improved veterans' nutritional intake and addressed issues of malnutrition. Clothing assistance and personal hygiene products helped veterans maintain dignity and meet daily self care needs.
